To celebrate the 2024 Paris Paralympics, The Rockfield Centre is proud to host one of Argyll’s own Paralympians! The honour of being the best in of your sport and representing your country is a wonder in itself, but winning a Paralympic medal must be an unforgettable experience.
Marie Harrower is from the Isle of Mull and was born blind. She competed in the Toronto 1976 Paralympic Games (Toronto, Canada) for Great Britain. She won a Bronze medal in Woman’s Shot Put and a Silver medal in Woman’s Discus Throw. She also trained as a physiotherapist and is the former Head of Physiotherapy at Lorn and Islands Hospital. The Rockfield Centre is delighted to offer an evening with Marie to learn about her journey; her courage, determination, fortitude and resilience.
Join us on Tuesday 17th September at 6.45pm for what promises to be a most interesting and stimulating informal evening!
