6 week block of art classes with The 2Vals exploring sources of inspiration and artistic response.

How often have you wondered where artists find their inspiration? Perhaps you’ve been waiting for the ‘muse’ to strike…faced a blank sheet of paper with little clue where to begin!

The 2Vals will help you recognise possible sources of inspiration and how to transform these ideas into your own, original artistic response.

All you need to bring is an open mind ready to explore line, texture, colour and text in a range of media.
No drawing skill required.

The 2 Vals (Val Hamilton and Val Leckie) enjoy a long history of shared art teaching , creative collaboration and design marketing. Val Leckie graduated in Fine Art from Nottingham College of Art and Val Hamilton trained in Silversmithing & Jewellery Design at Glasgow School of Art. Both operated creative businesses whilst bringing up family and spent many years teaching Art & Design across all educational sectors before settling into retirement in Oban. Having tutored a range of art workshops for all abilities and ages, even through lockdown, the 2Vals are now looking forward to hosting their unique creative classes at The Rockfield Centre.
