The Rockfield Centre was selected as a host venue for Scotland on Tour 2022-2023.
Scotland on Tour will take place over a period of 12 months between April 2022 and 2023, supporting the creation of hundreds of concerts and performances at much-loved arts centres, town halls and community venues across Scotland.
Made possible with funding from the Scottish Government Scotland on Tour focuses on increasing the number of opportunities to showcase and enjoy live music, while bringing exciting acts to the doorstep of city, towns, villages and rural communities. New gigs will be staged in 25 of Scotland’s local authority areas with the aim to bolster Scotland’s incredible live music scene and help to aid the recovery of the country's creative supply chain.
Genre-spanning acts will appear across the breadth and width of the country, with rock, pop, jazz, classical, folk, trad and acoustic genres all being showcased.

Fraser Fifield and Graeme Stephen are well known in folk and jazz circles in their native Scotland as musicians with a unique sound and approach.

Elsa Jean and Gary McTaggart present a tuneful account of survival during Covid-19 through a Celtic fusion of Hebridean Melody celebrating life, sorrow, uncertainty, joy and laughter.

Recitals for Wrigglers create informal classical concerts for babies, toddlers and their parents. Each concert includes a story or fable which is illustrated with musical fragments and the event ends with a sing-along of nursery rhymes and children’s songs, for which percussion instruments are provided.

Singer songwriter Ainsley Hamill’s debut album ‘Not Just Ship Land’ draws on contrastingly urban inspirations, namely the social history and contemporary experience of Glasgow’s Govan district, especially as viewed by its womenfolk.
Mary Ann Kennedy and Finlay Wells

One of Gaeldom’s finest singers Mary Ann Kennedy joins Oban guitar legend Finlay Wells celebrating their first duo tour out of lockdown. New songs and music created in the strange times with beautiful video backdrops responding to the little windows of hope and opportunity that punctuated the past two years, the long-time musical friends also revel in revisiting their trademark original song writing and favourite traditional classics.

Traditional Scots musician Ryan Young brings new life to very old, often forgotten tunes.
Playing in his own unique style, Ryan’s fiddle playing is brimming with fresh melodic ideas, uplifting rhythmic drive and a great depth of dynamics and precision. His distinctive sound takes listeners on an emotional and adventurous journey with international praise for his spell-binding interpretations on the fiddle.

Emily Kelly and Graham Coe are Edinburgh-based folk duo The Jellyman’s Daughter, singing with an affinity and closeness that often has audiences puzzling over who is singing which harmony line. Their songs can range from a simple plaintive wisp of a feeling to ambitious musical endeavours incorporating guitar, mandolin and Graham's often-unconventional cello playing.

Gnoss’ signature sound is a rich tapestry of acoustic layers; outstanding musicianship, deep traditional roots and contemporary compositional flair combine to create songs and tunes brimming with character.
