Performance: Paper Moon
Paper Moon is a delightful and memorable interactive adventure show for under 5s by the acclaimed dance company Shaper/Caper, featuring a beautiful set and costume design by Janis Hart.
Following 55 sold-out performances to date, Poppy and her dog Peppy are back to chase MoonMoo across the canvas sky in their paper rockets! The moonlight is beautiful, shining across the bedroom floor as Poppy Diddle dozes off. But is all as calm as it seems? Suddenly, Poppy wakes up to discover that the MoonMoo (the cow that jumped over the moon) has got stuck on the Moon! Poppy’s mission is clear -- and she really needs your help!
Join Poppy and her dog Peppy on this wonderful adventure as she launches across the canvas sky, at the speed of light, towards the Paper Moon. Throughout the show, there are lots of opportunities for children and adults alike to join in Poppy’s journey through movement, and we hope you will join us throughout so that you and your wee one have the best time ever together!
Alongside the show, Shaper/Caper will also be hosting an “A Day to Play” workshop for children aged 2-12 and their grown-ups, giving everyone a chance to get immersed in the world of Paper Moon, getting creative with the dancers and props. This production is generously supported by the Creative Scotland Touring Fund.
Workshop: A Day to Play
Meet A Day to Play: part dance performance, part interactive workshop!
Wee ones and their grown-ups alike are invited to immerse themselves in the world of Paper Moon, getting creative with set and props in a session of guided play. Led by our pro dancers, A Day to Play workshops are designed to encourage a sense of adventure, problem-solving, and collaboration with others for kids - and adults too!
You don't need ANY experience to enjoy A Day to Play, and the more the merrier - so come give it a whirl!
