Award winning singer-songwriter Michael Cassidy performs live at The Rockfield Centre with tracks from his debut album 'Wandering As Water'.

Michael Cassidy is a Glasgow-based singer/songwriter whose brand of acoustic folk is characterised by his fragile, tender voice and intimate lyrics - all delivered in his distinctive Scottish brogue. Michael sites a great variety of influences including folk heavyweights Rufus Wainwright and John Martyn, along with the Traditional-Scottish music he was raised on. Michael has toured extensively including support slots with Ben Howard, John Grant, Martha Wainwright, Nathaniel Rateliff and Amy MacDonald. Michael was awarded the Gerry Rafferty song writing prize in for his track ‘The Men Who Stood Beside Me In The War’. Touring this summer in support of a brand new Album 'Wandering As Water' which combines his familiar alt-folk sound alongside newer rich and honest writing. Michael's much loved live show promises to be one not to miss.

Support Act: Lora MacLeod

Lora MacLeod is a singer/songwriter from Oban. Being from the West Coast, a lot of her influences come from traditional music and folk music. She has also always been hugely inspired by the story telling of country music, which has been a big part of her performing and writing from a young age.
