Horse McDonald returns to The Rockfield Centre on Friday 14th April 2023 with new show ACOUSTIC-Y.

A HORSE show is so much more than just a show, its like a reunion of old friends, an event. Fitting then, that she’s returning to Oban once more!

This acoustic performance shall reveal some of the songs from her long awaited new album, her 11th, destined for a summer release. Also, as it’s the 30th anniversary of the second album, God’s Home Movie, in March, there will be a smattering of songs from this classic album.

One of Scotland’s finest singer, songwriters...

“A Horse concert is a little bit like having a warm and comforting security blanket wrapped around you” - Southside Advertiser

“She has definitely still got it, her energy never waning in a two hour concert which ends with a high octane encore and a deserved standing ovation” The Wee Review

Support Act: Emma Dunlop

Supporting HORSE on the night will be Emma Dunlop, a singer songwriter from North Lanarkshire. Starting out as an acoustic artist in her early teens, Emma had supporting greats like Midge Ure and Richie Havens on their UK tours by her 20’s.

In May 2020, Emma released her self-written, recorded and produced album Eleven Eleven. Finished in just 2 and a half weeks (and done completely on her phone), this lockdown project has led to multiple plays on BBC Radio Scotland, and two performances at the Edinburgh International Festival.

Emma will be performing songs from her album (and some new unreleased songs) acoustically - just how they were originally conceived. Expect songs about love, loss and self discovery.
