Making fish with sheep’s wool.

Learn how to design and make 2D felt fish either one sided as a picture, or two sided to hang in a window. Or learn 3D techniques to create a seamless fish of your own colour and design.

Felt is the perfect medium to stitch into or add beads or shells to decorate. If you are new to feltmaking or have tried it before and want to learn new ideas , come along and join in.

The workshop will be led by textile artist Liz Gaffney of Heartfelt Studio. Heartfelt Studio has been in business since 1995 creating and teaching the skills of felt making with sheep wool. Liz who currently resides at Dalmally Railway Station, has worked and exhibited internationally across Mongolia, Norway, Slovakia, Iceland, Ireland and the USA. With a degree in floristry and previous study of pattern construction Liz is passionate about sustainability and using resources that are local and accessible . Liz teaches workshops for beginners as well as for advanced students. She will guide your creativity no matter what your level is.
