Age: All ages
Place: Rockfield Dye Garden, The Rockfield Centre

Outdoor educational session

Come and see the Rockfield garden where we grow plants that we use for naturally dyeing fabrics, yarn and paper!

There will be lots of dyed samples on display for you to discover.

Our lead artist Deborah Gray will also be on hand to explain the fascinating process of natural dyeing. Join in and help us sow seeds for this year’s colourful harvest!

We will have a limited amount of dyeplant seeds for sale, so you can leave with new knowledge to try growing your own.

If you would like to find out more about volunteering in our dye garden, please email general@therockfieldcentre.org.uk.

Our dye garden is connected to the Eco Creative Cluster: a group of both local and international practitioners focused on sustainable practices using natural dyes and inks. Find out more here.
